Getting This Show on the Road
I feel like I have been talking too much about the past on here and about the future too. I certainly have been reflecting a lot lately. I suppose it’s the time of year for it.
But it’s time for me to STOP reflecting and to START acting. Getting myself ready to make my small business dreams a reality.

I don’t like to talk about my business so much as I often feel like I’m yelling at people “look at me, buy my stuff” so I try not to do it. The problem with that is that you don’t get many sales if no one knows you’re there.
Taking Control Makes You Stronger
Do you bury your head in the sand when it comes to money?
We have all been guilty of it from time to time. Even me, I’m not immune. Why, it happened to me only last week!
But is it the way you want to live? Do you want to be that person who never knows if they are able to do things financially? That person who has a whole heap of stuff that reminds them that they over-spent again?
You don’t have to be, if you don’t want to. Taking control of your life through taking control of your finances is a liberating feeling, you feel free to make the decisions you want to buy that big TV because you’ve done the sums and know you can afford it! It’s not a quick fix, it’s a long term strategy.
Life, for me isn’t about making sacrifices, it’s about thinking before you act and making sure your actions are what you really want. Remove the impulse to buy and when you do buy, you’ll be more likely to have made the right decision.
So are you ready to make the leap? To take your finances by the scruff of the neck and tell them who’s boss? I thought so!
I can help you! I’ve written an eBook that will help you take control of your finances, through good planning and knowing what you are really spending.
It’s a step-by-step guide to getting your control back and comes with an easy to fill in spreadsheet for really understanding where you are at and where you want to be. It includes tips and tricks on how to make small changes that can make a big difference.

Now Available: Patterns
A new range of products to present to you!

Did you know that I was a closet crafty kid? I didn’t tell many of the other kids at school about it, because they didn’t like different, and crafting was different in the 90s!
I liked to spend my school holidays creating patterns and sewing things on my grandmother’s sewing machine. I once made a camel for a friend that loved the Frenzal Rhomb album, A Man’s Not a Camel. (I was 14 and it was funny at the time)
Dannielle, you’re rambling again!
Oops, sorry, I’ll get to the point. I have now created my first product in a new range of patterns based on my bag and accessory designs. Over the coming months I will be adding more of these designs to my website that you will be able to purchase and download to use for both personal use and for selling on your crafty website or at a market.
What you will get…
In the patterns you will get detailed instructions on cutting, assembling and finishing the product. You will also get pictures that accompany every step, to make sure you are heading in the right direction. And you will of course get a pattern that you can print out on A4 paper that you can use as many times as you like.
If you would like more information on my patterns you can simply click here or go to the Patterns tab above.
What’s available now?
The first pattern that I have released is my cosmetic pouch pattern. It’s a great pattern for those with beginner to intermediate sewing skills and for anyone who wants to learn to insert zips. The cosmetic pouches are one of my favourite things to make as gifts and have many uses beyond just cosmetics.
If you would like to see or buy the pattern you can go here
Or if you would like to buy one ready made you can get one here
What’s next?
I’m working on a few different ideas for my next pattern and am considering making this popular bag style into a pattern. But, I would love your ideas.
Do you have a favourite bag or accessory of mine that you would like to see in pattern form? Just let me know in the comments below or feel free to email me here.
