I’m a big planner. I love to have everything nice and neatly planned.
Obviously, things don’t always go according to plan, but at least when I have one I can know how far off I end up from where I originally thought I would be.
I’m struggling a bit at the moment, as the life that I planned has taken a very different path to the one I expected. It happens to be for a better path, but needless to say, I didn’t think I’d be where I currently am at 25. But, thems the breaks.
One of the things I love doing is planning travel. I love it as much as I love travelling. I love learning about new places and what they might have in store for me.
So I’m planning a trip. A big one.
At the moment it’s just a big dream that has no funding but, I am hoping by having one eye on the prize (the big trip) that I can work with people to make this dream come true.
I like big goals, they make me work better.
So where am I planning to go? The good ol’ USA is where I’m headed. I have cousins that live in a couple of different states and some lovely people that I haven’t met in person that I would like to meet if I can.
Locations that are at the top of my list are:
- Michigan (cousins)
- NYC (cousins and it’s NYC!)
- Philly and other parts of PA
- Washington DC
- Parts of VA
I have also been recommended:
- Charleston, SC
- Nashville, TN
I would also like to see so many other spots on the west coast and maybe even Niagara Falls, but it’s all just a dream until I get a chance to do the numbers and see what it will cost.
If you have any suggestions of places to visit please let me know! I’d love for you to be part of it. And if it goes ahead, you will have the chance to read about it, as travel blogging was my thing from long before I realised what blogging really was.
Just think of all the lovely little handmade stores and markets and things that I could visit!
It’s a fun distraction for me, though and plans can be saved for later. And having a savings goal is a great way to measure how I’m going for the year.
Are you a planner or more a by-the-seat-of-your-pants person? Tell me in the comments!
P.S. That’s one of my favourite photos that I took myself. It always makes me smile.
